Where I Live Poem by John Doiron

Where I Live

Rating: 3.5

I live where the sea kisses the forest
Where the desert embraces the sea
Where the mighty canyon caresses the desert
And the world speaks to me

I dwell on only the beauty of the sky
The steady flow of the river
The vast green of the fields
I am the silent giver

Not only the birds exchange a glance
But the beavers do as well
And so do the mighty lizards
Assuring that they’re well

I see the trees sway in the wind
This simple living is good for me
I do not mind being all alone
I now can clearly think and see
