where is
the cheerfulness?
too much tearfulness
the heart is heavy
the soul needs lifting
the mind is drifting
how far
is the world going
before its gone?
heads of brick and
hearts of stone
drunkard turned into pills
another bomb falls another bomb kills
the body grows
too old to fuss or fight
fragile bones and poor eyesight
the moon and the stars
are sleepless
watching over the ocean
covered in its deepness
