Wheres The Beer.

Waking up in the morning
and going to the fridge
only to find there is
no beer
not one drop of the
alcohol in
the house
and i'm scared
i'm afraid that
i'm going to have to go out
and look for a drop
i'm scared that
i will have to leave
and go into a
shop
and buy some beers
and have to
talk to that bitch
shopkeeper
the one who
has a problem
with people
who buy alcohol
there must be
some around this
place
atleast a drop of alcohol
left
i know i didn't drink
it all
it's around here
somewhere
nope nowhere to be found
inside this trap
i'll have to risk it
i'll have to go deep
inside myself
and leave the house
and go to a shop
and buy some then
here we go
put my trousers on
gear up
it's time to buy beer.

I was in this predicament until Mar 3oth this year. It ended up with a 6 week hospital stay I just wrote a poem about, and loss of nearly everything. Addiction is an enemy and the person who has it is its victim. God bless you (Report) Reply

After
by Robert Browning

Take the cloak from his face, and at first
Let the corpse do its worst!

How he lies in his rights of a man!
Death has done all death can.
