Wherever You Are Poem by Rachel BaByBeAr Anderson

Wherever You Are

I am the red in the shirt
the fabric on the clothing on your bedroom floor
and I am the gray in the voice
of the teachers that you're only too happy to ignore
I am the green in the leaf
on the apple that you're eating for a mealtime snack
and I am the pink in the many hands
that appplaude while they pat you on the back
I am the black in the tinted screen
in the sunglasses that you wear everywhere
and I am the white in the mist
you see every morning hanging out in the freezing air
I am the blue in the view
you see through the window of your back bedroom room
and I am the orange in the old sunset's mess
going down making way for the new midnight gloom
the stars are coming out now
let's just forget the rest
When you cut me its true that i bleed
the colours of the evening stars
you could go wherever you wish
'cause I'll be there and never too far
wherever you are
