Whether The Weather Poem by Saumya Shikhar

Whether The Weather

What's the glory of rain without the sun?
Scorching heat and soothing rain
complimentaries,
mutually exhaustive,

One defines the other, no importance of one in other's absence
innings by innings, they rule the world, they have an understanding..

Aren't they just promisers of falseness?
just like the politicians?

who forget the pleaders after coming to power...
Just a few days of relief from the previous regime,
and then the realization..

The pleaders, who yesterday prayed for a change of season, pay now for the change...

Trying to recall their earlier requests,
for it is the havoc of the floods, swaying over their lands,
their fertile pieces,
for whose prosperity they prayed,
it traps these poorfellows to their homes
(if they are undamaged)
for there is nowhere to go outside,
it's logged everywhere..
and for this they prayed! ! !
