While In The Business District Poem by Uriah Hamilton

While In The Business District

Rating: 4.5

Charmingly daunted by beautiful ladies,
I walk through the city on a sunny afternoon
Enjoying their shoulders
Decoratively displayed in elegant business suits
On their way to lunch.

Every infatuation feels like love,
I’m only rueful not to know the Wall Street quotes
That they’re looking for.

I’m not one for numbers,
And money blows away like newspapers
On a windy day,
But I wish I had something to say
To keep myself in the presence
Of any of these astonishing ladies.

I would edit this slightly to make it tighter, more compelling, but a good read, something different as a topic. I enjoyed.

Believe me, Uriah. You have PLENTY to say to keep any woman enthralled. Nice work. S
