Whispering Tree Poem by Emmanuel George Cefai

Whispering Tree

I see you tremble
Tremble from your heart
Tremble as your heart
To yield to me
Your whispering
As understandable.
You
Sad trees
Have
Each
Your individual tales
And
These your whisper
Slow and sad
And with intent
For me to know
I hear you whisper
I see you tremble
I keep in my heart
What you tell me
Like a love-lock
Treasured and to
Be sung when the Muse
Wills.
Next night will be
My night:
Whisper to me
Whispering tree
And I will sing
