Who Do You Think You Are To Me? Poem by June FeirCruz

Who Do You Think You Are To Me?

Rating: 5.0

Did you think I would just allow you to continue hurting me?
Just because you gave me a penny or two
That you have the right to be unkind to me?
You think that you are so nice, but you are not.
You think that you are so lovable, you are not.
You think that you are a gentleman - you sir, are not.
What you are: is a toxic, delusional, control freak.
And the worst part is:
I loved you, I still do.
And you broke my heart in a million pieces times two.

Oh yes! Welcome to the wonderful world of human relationships. Why do we do it? We are complex and perplexing beings and once again June you don't shy away from these issues. A nicely short, punchy treatment of these powerful emotions.
