Who Pulls Chariot Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Who Pulls Chariot

Rating: 5.0

Who pulls chariot together?
Is it powerful and dominating father?
Or kind and affectionate mother
I think both and no other

Mother looks after home front
Father clearly bears the brunt
His bingers are burnt
As it is hardly learnt

No one comes to know at home
He always smiles and is welcome
He cares for all to be worry free
We find comfort as if coolness under tree

He knows how to pull off crisis
He has his own confidence and thesis
He passes responsibility to none
Shares alone and carries the burden

The hard work matters less
He always take it with smiling face
His only worry is family’s well being
As he is head of he family or king

We sometimes feel afraid
But he is nice and caring to be heard
“Come children, come all”
“I have gift for you all” he may call

Such is his attitude
He is knee deep in trade
Yet spares enough time
To make them happy all the times
