Who's Name Were You Calling? Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Who's Name Were You Calling?

You open your door,
Just to lock it.
Once I turn around,
I'm blocked out.
To then hear you tell me,
Through cracked doors and windows...
I know nothing about your sentiments,
Sensitivities with a talk and listening session.
And I care for you,
Only when the lights go out.
And I reach tenderly to touch you,
Under the sheets.
I don't understand what the problem is.

'You don't want to talk.
It's as if...
The only time from you I get,
Is when you want from me one thing.'

Baby...
If you want dialogue,
We can add dialogue.
No problem.
I didn't want to say anything before,
Because you were calling God's name.
And...
All the time.

'You don't understand anything.'

Well...
Who's name were you calling?
