Whole Poem by Tiana Isaac

Whole

I wanted more
More than you could imagine
But even before it truly started
You threw it all away

If I was broken into halves I'd be glad
I'd pick me up easily
But no, you broke me into tiny pieces
I could hardly find me

Lost, broken, with tears running down my cheek
Silently and gently I picked up my pieces one by one till I became whole again

Whole to face life from a better outlook
Whole to be me again
Whole to pursue my dreams again
Whole to write beautiful stories again
Whole to rewrite my adventurous love story.
Now I am whole again
Whole again

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Take the time out to admit you need to get your acts together. Your heart, mind and body needs to heal from past hurt and betrayal. Then and only then can you be whole.
