Why do you leave to become a monk.
Why do you run away from life
Just because of some heart, the one heart that broke yours,
Leaving behind the world, by sacrificing everything,
Why do you want to quit living in this world for that one person.

This is not expected of a good man,
There are many things which are more important than love,
Love is not everything one has to live for,
Leaving behind the world, by sacrificing everything,
If you could not be one in body, why worry,
The hearts met, is that not enough,
What if fragrance of flowers come from far away,
Even though there is barren desert in front of you,
Is it not enough that the fragrance is still there, still lingering,
Not everyone gets the moon to lighten their world,
Sometimes a lamp can lighten your world too.

With much longing do the blossoms beckon you,
Why don’t you build a garden once again,
If one world of yours was destroyed,
Why not build another and populate another world,
Sometimes even if the heart is not willing, one has to go with the flow,
Live in this world and spread joy to others hearts,
Why do you want to quit living in this world for that one person,
Leaving behind the world, by sacrificing everything,
Why do you leave to become a monk;
Why do you run away from life.
