'Why Coulden'T You Have Been A Little Stronger' Poem by Charlotte Ambrosia

'Why Coulden'T You Have Been A Little Stronger'

under none existant skies i see you
you are talking on the phone
we are in a happier time
while you stand right there, i stand alone

i am picking up the pieces
my childhood left me soo many toys
my adulthood gives me promises
and yet you still use decoys

my computer screen breaks
and you take it to heart
you hang up the phone now
your swinging at me as the world falls apart

you tell her your lies
as her tears fill her eyes
this ten year old cries

and you start to tear
like your the only one here
you let change feed you fear

and in all this madness i start to weep
i pick up my ten year old
still tears run down her cheek

you not lookin as i say this
so time passes on a little longer
you think im talking to her whan i say.....
'why coulden't you have been a little stronger'

love it... not always grammatically correct, but definately worth reading. I have a poem about a difficult childhood, if you'd like to read it. It's called 'Silent falling star', And i always appreciate your feedback. With respect, Abby
