Why Didn't You Listen Me Poem by manaswini dash

Why Didn't You Listen Me

Hey, you young man!
Why didn't you listen me and became so obstinate?
And committed such a great mistake so unfortunate?
you went near that poisonous tree
In spite of my prevention you felt yourself to be free.
I refrained you to pluck its alluring but malicious fruit.
Still you forgot everything and eat that fruit.
Now see, what a devastation you have made!
The poison of that fruit spread-
from cell to cell
from animal to animal
from earth to water,
from soil to atmosphere and lastly to infinite space.
Look, how that poison is burning everything.
Even the embryos in mother's womb are crying.
All of us are inhaling that hot air,
not happily but out of despair.
Oh! Its so painful!
Can you suggest what to do now?
Your silence says you didn't know.
Then without knowing how to handle a scorpion
Why did you mix in our life a serpent's poison.
You made our life so miserable.
Only because you are so fickle.
