Why Do I Love You? Poem by Juan Olivarez

Why Do I Love You?

Rating: 5.0

Why do I love you, you must know why,
But won't you tell me anyway?
It could be the glow in your big brown eyes,
That turns my nights to day.

Why do I love you, It might be your soul,
That's pure as a mountain stream.
With value beyond diamonds or gold,
You are my every dream.

Why do I love you, it might be your heart,
That beats with a love so strong.
It's rhythm means we'll never part,
Why do I love you? Cause to you I belong.

It is a question then has boggled minds for a very long time. There is no right or wrong answer in how you feel. It just is. If you have to ask why then are missing the point. For love is a mysterious creature who won't reveal her secrets easily. Acceptance of love is so much better then questioning it. For you are putting an earthly reasoning behind something so magical. People have kill over it. People have killed themselves over. People enslaved to it. Love just is.
