Why Fall? Poem by Julia Klimenova

Why Fall?

Rating: 4.8

Why do we FALL in love?
Is it a sin?
Are we like aircraft gone
Into a spin?
Why do we lose control?
Where do we slip?
Nobody pushes us
But still we trip.
We may hold on to ropes
Out at sea,
But if we're meant to sink,
So it will be.

Dear Julia, This is a clever and well-written take on the age-old question: 'Why do fools fall in love? ' Well-done. Wishing you the best, Hugh

Love is an enigma - we fall in love, we fall out of love but always with dizzying side effects. Love the way you have composed this thought provoking and image packed write. Justine.

The older I get the more convinced I am that love is unpredictible and unexplainable. I like your poem very much.

of course no choice in the matter somehow beyond will a deep connection appears beyond consciousness yet no holding back can't hold back too much at stake the possibility of happiness and that possibility to let our souls sink into THAT means all and all shall be done for THAT a fine poem

I like the flow of questioning that becomes an answering and you seem to say: the why of it remains a mystery but Falling is definitely the right verb I don't need a thesaurus -you convinced me!
