Why Her? Poem by carolyn oclaire

Why Her?

How could you just take her with out nothing to say.
You could had told me in some kind of way.

I'm trying my best to understand that you wanted her home.
But now I have nobody I'm here alone.

Why out of all the people,
You chose to take my mother.
Wasn't it bad enough that you took my cousin,
And my baby brother.

I'm trying my best to understand that we have no
control over the decision that you make.
But I hardly got over the first two.
Some morning I don't want to wake.

I hate the whole world and I don't think I have a good reason why.
I'm hurting so much I can't even cry.

I don't understand why life plays it self out the way it has.
It's all happen all a little to fast.

I'm hoping one day I understand why you do what you do.
Just take away something that doesn't belong to you.

Is there a reason why you done this to me.
It has to be.
My whole world is crashing down all around me.
PLEASE LORD HELP ME.

COMMENTS OF THE POEM

I've never understood the randomness of life, the arbitrariness of death, and your poem, your words set out the confusion and turmoil that has gone through my own mind at times. I appreciated this poem and am glad I had the opportunity to read it. Thank you, L&T
