Why Judge Me? Poem by angie arrant

Why Judge Me?

Why judge ME
Why judge me because I can't meet your needs?
Why judge me because of the color beneath your sleeves
Why judge me because of the texture of my hair
Why judge me because I have to save up for bus fair

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Why put me down because I am weak
Why do you insist on treating me like a freak?
Truth is you're no bigger or badder than
Last time I checked this was a free country

You make others feel weak because of your own flaws
Acting big and bad making up your laws
Like a tadpole telling a shark what to do
Alone in a deep dark hole waiting for others to get a clue
