Wild Fire Damage Poem by Ramona Thompson

Wild Fire Damage

Rating: 5.0

Inspired by what those poor people are going through I wrote this one this morning.

Where do we go from here?

I just don't know

Lost everything so very quickly there was no time even to blink

Damned by the fire to a new and empty life

Feeling so lost and out of control of our own destiny

It has to be only just a bad dream

Really it can't be real

Everywhere we look only ash and ruin to greet us

Did't know life could turn so quick on a dime like this

All we had in a heartbeat lost

Maybe in some way I wonder is God punishing u

Are we to blame for this, any of this?

God please tell us how we can amends

Everything we've lost means not a thing at all

If in the process we've lost you too

Sending prayers

Dying for fresh air and your salvation
