Will Anyone Remember? Poem by Sarah Child

Will Anyone Remember?

Rating: 5.0

Will anyone remember me when I am gone?
If so I would like to know
I walk alone
I sleep alone
I dream alone
In shadows I dwell
As silent as the sky over their heads
I am crying
I am dying
But there is nobody to care
Will anyone remember me when I am gone?

My tombstone becomes moss covered
My name is illegible
The picture of my emotionless face windswept and unrecognizable
All the flowers are dried and dead
Their petals litter the ground
The weeds grow tall and consume the stone
Only to be found years later
As a blank tombstone
Will anyone remember me when I am gone?
