Life in Paris
walks slower today
than it has ever done
For the streets
are no longer filled with happy faces
And do children
no longer play outside
For Paris has changed
into a place of fear,
into a city of fright
For here in this beautiful city
lives have been shattered
and are happy dreams
impossible to dream
Now only sorrow and pain
rule the day and the night
and does it fill the minds
till the new morning light
Therefore do I wonder
with pain in my heart
Will beautiful Paris
ever be the same?
