Winter Poem by Atticus Mortimer

Winter

Conquer,
loot,
pillage,
blaze through the trails,
batten down the hatches,
and brace yourself,
because winter is coming.
and its coming with a vengeance,
Blizzards,
and sleet,
and freezing rain
hell is frozen over
and its here on earth,
in our minds,
and in our hearts,
all our indifference, spreading through our hearts like a disease,
some will pray to god
some to mother earth,
and some to their own personal deities.
they pray to eliminate this indifference
this inevitable indifference amongst men
But it will always flower in the hearts of men,
and for them we should weep,
because winter
has come.
