Winter Is Here And There Poem by MOHAMMAD SKATI

Winter Is Here And There

I walk between
Isolated streets while
It is raining
Here and there,
I do not see
Any dogs or
Any cats
As I used to see before,
I see desolated alleys and
Wet roads while taking my way
Towards my home,
I never hate winter
Simply because we need it,
Everyone and everything are just
Under winter's authority
Although it is going to be
For some period of time,
I keep walking alone
Just to reach my home
Which is a minute
Ahead of me,
I utter gladly that
Winter is here and there.
