More and more
I’m amazed by winter trees -
Their behavior so much differs from us,
Men’s.
Without leaves, with darkened brown trunks,
They seem even more genuine in their sleep.
Not hiding anywhere,
Without staggering or fuss,
They silently and steadily
Meet the coming snow.
