Winters Adieu Poem by Theodora (Theo) Onken

Winters Adieu

Rating: 5.0

The Winter bare branches - begin to pop...
A nib - a bud - a blossom - fills them in
Songbirds now sing their sweet melodies
While Winter beckons Spring - to please begin.

Grey skies have all but been erased
Replaced by white clouds in an azure blue sky
Sweet fragrance - fills the April air
As we watch baby Sparrows learning to fly.

Squirrels search for some pecans...
As they scurry across our greening lawn...
For all things become brand new once again
With the Winter - now long gone.
