O beautiful and lovely village
You are liked and adored in all ages
As child you gave us all happiness
In youth, the beautiful life ground to face
How can we forget those tall trees?
With thick bushes to hide and feel free
The joy in roaming like birds
Sky so wide and fields so open
In each night I remember
All my school mate and family members
Those plays in street
And cheerful smile with delight
That small river with open bed
Sands full and thorns thinly spread
No worry for its sweet pinch
We used to enjoy village by every inch
Those small huts
Not well built
But of mud
Hardly could we imagine
High rise buildings appeal me less
City life is always to chase
The material life is now boring
Nights are spent in wishful snoring
Snoring in another sense Robert Alicias3 minutes ago I like the comparison of night (day) life noises etc like actual snoring of greedy and not so greedy men. They make noise in small and big things.

Let me come up with a comment from my heart. This is a poem that wonderfully takes us forward by going back in time. I love the title of the poem. Warm regards, Supratik Sen, Hyderabad Apr 04,2014
Hasmukh ji, yet another beautiful view of the peaceful and charming rural India. Nostalgic recollection of the years spent in such ambience in boyhood tugs at our hearts. Regards. GSP Rao, Hyderabad Apr 04,2014
