With A Capital...C Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

With A Capital...C

When people lie to themselves.
And others too.
Whether conscious about it or not.
Yet will continue to do.
Who or what,
Is it they perceive to believe is fooled?
Or easily tricked to dupe?
When in churches they attend to pretend,
A calling of themselves Christians?
And...
With a capital 'C'.
As if God is not permanently present.
There in their churches and everywhere else.
Knowing who does and does not deceive.
