With A Convincing Relentlessness Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

With A Convincing Relentlessness

What's old?

The repeating of excuses.

What's new?

The refusing of repeating anything old.
Stale and molding.

Although what's old is accepted,
By those who redo yesterday to update.
As if no difference has been made,
To replay with embellishment...
That has an approval,
From those who look the other way...
Portraying themselves as victims of amnesia,
With a convincing relentlessness.

Making what's new,
Always within limits as to not to offend...
Anyone seeking the getting of attention!
Or the mentioning of anything,
That yesterday took place.
