With The One I Love Poem by Sam Pendlebury

With The One I Love

An early morning ride in a horse drawn sleigh
Freezing cold and where so warm, here with you the one I love,
Up the hill and through the town, snow all around
People wave as we ride by,
Snowman dance with delight
A little magic, and the help of a blustery winter wind,
It dance's endlessly around the sleigh and in
We ride past Burt the traffic cop, and Ernie in his taxi,
Over the bridge we ride, and look ther's Clarence
We continue our ride through this old town
And pass a favorite place., Bailey Building and Loan
I think to my self if only I could stop the clock here in this
moment we would stay, just you and me
In Bedford Falls nineteen forty eight, That would be a wonderful life
