With The Sun In Her Eyes Poem by Brooke Harms

With The Sun In Her Eyes

Her eyes the deepest of blues, contrasted with flecks of the brightest of yellows and balanced with the calmest flecks of white. Her soft porceline skin dashed with miniscule freckles surrounded by thick curls of brown hair woven in braids here and there. A single white and blue rose perched on her ear, freshly picked by her own hands just moments before. Lips so soft, light pink with a natural shimmer, as if covered in honey. Everything about her so real, natural, perfectly imperfect. Her slinder body bent to pick flowers, off-white lace sundress flowing in the warm summer breeze around her sillouette shadow, cast by the bright sun, just under her bare feet. Her smile so true, rose red cheeks dimpled in such a childish way. Her eyes reflecting the light as if the sun itself was born there.
