With The World Poem by Ophelia Clark

With The World

Sing with the wailing wolf
His head bowing to the heavens
as he cries to the moon
singing the story of the world

Listen with the mournful moon
her voice unheard by all
she hears the cries of the wolf
as he sings the story of the world

Dancing with the springing stars
their twinkling delight dazzles in splendor
as they leap to the earth
to the beat of the story of the world

Run with the stately stag
his powerful hooves carve into the ground
as he gallops towards the cries
of the story of the world

Sway with the graceful grass
the peaceful motions back and forth
creating rhythm to accompany
the story of the world

Feel with the winter wind
carrying the cries that she hears
lifting the beautiful sounds
of the story of the world

Soar with the elegant eagle
his almighty wings glide
on the back of the wind
that carries the story of the world
