Without Expectations



I didn't 'have' to do it!
I just did.

Nothing was promised.
Or gift was I to get.

And I didn't sit premeditating,
Over whether I should or shouldn't.

I wanted with a need,
As if I had no other reason...
But to give of myself as I lived.
With a doing of this without expectations!
