Without You Poem by Colin Ian Jeffery

Without You

Without you my heart would be in despair
Suffering such loneliness with life's purpose gone
Each hour filled with longing to see your face
Wondering where you are and are you happy?
Time would have no meaning, days cold and bleak
With no more smiles and laughter, love in ashes.
Sun and moon, forbidden, would no longer shine.
And weeping I would call your name into the wind
Beseeching it to be carried to your ears and heart
And for you to return to make me whole again.
You are the focus, reason, core, ecstasy of my life
Companion I must follow to reach the promise land
Where lovers are united soulmates forever and a day.
