Without You Poem by edgar bonette clar

Without You

I've been dreaming dreams of You,
since the day I chance to met You;
in a sordid lonely meadow,
down the hills when the tide was low.

Long ago I've seen You, I know-
down the aisle where I used to go;
Splendid without joy nor sorrow,
just plain You as I now met You.

You maybe are an angel of light,
that throws away my fearful night;
in cheer, in joy and in your light,
You filled all my dreams at night.

Can't understand as it seems,
all the tomorrows in all my dreams;
will have lost all its essence,
when You will be without then.
