Word Out To The Kind Poem by JAMES T. ADAIR

Word Out To The Kind

Rating: 5.0

It is the kind
the ones who offer kindness or a kiss
they lift the weight off others
others hurting, sorrowful
who otherwise feel remiss
It's the kind who are on my mind
the people who try
who aren't so lofty
so absentminded, selfish and blind
they are the ones I find
who of goodness, somehow remind
that God's love was meant to be
gracious, gentle and kind
Some precious souls
despite their own suffering
are still so inclined
they strive to be 'kind'
They help the world in many ways
reminders of love they've wished for
or have felt, or where the sun once touched
when it shined
I feel sorry for the bitterness
and the hurt and anger
and all the vices one could ever find
but I wish I could tell them
You've got to leave all that behind
We have better things inside
the human heart was so designed
the world only opens up
the wounds only begin to heal
you only breath the fresh air again
and see the light shine through the dark
and dream again
When you have felt the touch of kind
Kindness heals humankind
