Words and music
Go hand in hand
They caress the ear
Soothing and grand.
Their unison nice
Comforting and sweet
That can end a day
Serenely complete.
Their sound of notes
Are like peaches and cream
Syncopated with rhythm
Like a pleasant dream.
Their sounds fill the air
With notes sublime
To keep a heart beating
In beautiful time. What a wonder world this would be
If words and music could grow on a tree . . .
Where the dove of peace could softly alight
And make everyone's song a song of delight.
