Words Inside My Heart Poem by Tracey K. Warmack

Words Inside My Heart

Rating: 5.0

Words inside my heart
not yet fully elevated to my mind
these words are thick with meaning and heavy with passion
these words are savory like a home cooked meal
and deserving of it's takers
these words inside my heart
are bold and breath taking
they laugh and giggle
they weep and moan
they love hard
they love deep
they love honestly
they love freely
sometimes they have loved too early
at times too often
they have loved for many reasons
these words inside my heart
have loved absent ones, wrong ones, right ones, this one, that one
these words inside my heart
have loved thru me, for me, because of me
these words inside my heart have sincerely loved in me and on me
they have caressed me
they have feed me
they have bound me
they have found me
these words inside my heart have made me confess, profess, contest, protest suggest and even blessed me
these words keep me up late at night
and they tuck me in at morning light
they push my feet forward when I strut
they help me to fight the good fight
these words inside my heart soothe my psyche
they express my intellect
they cradle and comfort those I love
and have given much respect
they have jerked my sacred tears
then turned around and dried them
they have allowed my soul to come out of hiding
these words I can't deny them
they reach without arms
and fly without wings
they are not meant to be silent
they are the sincere songs I sing
these words inside my heart are the very existence I consider myself to be
these words inside my heart are the sacred most tender truth because these words inside my heart are
me.

Those words are the basis of your disposition, world view, character, they form your personality, and they are the totality of whom you are. As par those words motivating your heart to love wholeheartedly, remember that the divine function of the heart is to love. I like the articulation, insight and penning of the poem as it captured the convictions of the poet. A nice piece indeed. Thanks for sharing. Please read my poem MANDELA - THE IMMORTAL ICON.
