Words With No Name Poem by Wojja Fink

Words With No Name

Rating: 5.0

.

In the memory of a lifetime
When desires have turned to dust
And the smoke and purple flames
Cause tears you cannot trust
And the buildings turn to rubble
Amidst the broken pangs of pain
And the desserts are all flooded
And green hills without rain
And the lonesome good Samaritan
Is lost inside the brain
It's time to look once more
And spare the children pain

Who is this person lying
On the wrong side of the road
Someone you should not touch
In fear his faith may just explode
See the colour of his blood
The colour of his bones
His name it may Mohamed
Or it might be Mr. Jones
And what book does he carry
In the fold beneath his arm
A Bible or Koran
Alone they do no harm.
It’s in the minds of men
To choose hatred
Or the calm.
