This day has come to tell the world
That poetry will stay;
And poets world-over, young, old
Will read their stuff, this day.

‘And poets rule the world, ' they say -
A hidden truth, all know;
They tell all people keep right way;
More seeds of love, they sow.

The world remembers poets great
And honors their life-toil;
And poets must remove the hate,
That's sown in every soil.

Though poets write from heart each day,
This day reminds the globe,
That words of love keep wars at bay,
And earth dons peace's robe.
