World Politics Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

World Politics

Rating: 5.0

“World politics” is not our interest
Neither has it catered our need to best
Nor provided healthy thought to test
They call it as “National interest”

It pains us more when we hear about heavy snow fall
It also sent us happy waves when there was collapse of Berlin wall
We are not blind to the world events
But certainly it matters less for our comments

We are least concerned with Arab Israeli war
As they are different countries and situated very far
Even though we opine about just and honorable struggle
They continuously fight for blood and add trouble

God only knows how many might have perished
Yet peace is distant possibility and not achieved
Each time some mad politicians make adventure
And make world in doubt with unsecured future

We are pawn in their game
Even though we have nothing in common to share fame
No ideology coincide or religion is shared
Nut on the name of humanity all games are played

It is better we limit to national politics
Understand the values for local people with basics
They need peaceful life with daily items at cheap rate
Let us not make their life miserable by naming it as fate
