Worm Wood Poem by Akiva Roberts

Worm Wood

Trying not to lose my mind in this crazy paranoia
Fear striking blackness
Like ink through my heart
Dripping with the sarcasm of trust and betrayal.

Stop this fear worming into my heart
Striking deep into the heart of my heart
Secret room stained red
Disbelief in all that
I have witnessed cannot be blamed.

Mere innocence was lost and now like a child
Do I weep
In this broken room
With these broken thoughts
These faceless fears.

Alone do I weep?
