Worship Of The Dark Poem by Hasan Haskovic

Worship Of The Dark

To me it seems
That it does not come from dreams
My darling
For the love i harbor for you alone
Is enough to give life to flesh and to bone

Neither of us have noticed the webs we weave
Maybe it's...just hard to believe
How many degrees of separation there are
There is no preparation for when times hit hard
The forgotten pave the way

...But I'm never far
I'm always close
Because it's not destiny that has chosen
No, it's I who chose
From night unto tomorrow
From riverbeds to mountain tops
My heart no one can borrow
For excitedly in your hands it hops

It never stops
The carousel of envy and malice
But with the tides of love
I fill my empty chalice

Your words in my head forever ring
Your name is of what I sing
Wading in the darkness
Orchestrated by the playing of my heart strings

I would gladly mystify
But it does not fall from the sky
My darling,
It is of this world
Notched in my fingers caressing your face
It is nothing that you do not deserve
This day is for the dark

It's only fear
So let us sing along
From this day to our graves
In the silence of tomorrow
Without any further delays

The sorrow is just a phase
It will not stay
We live for better days
Rid of worry
Without dismay
