Worthless Money Poem by Gregory Huyette

Worthless Money

Whether ink on paper that buys things
Or computer wealth Wall Street brings,
Money is not worth the homage given
By wasted lives so sadly driven.

The few moments each has on earth
Only create real worth
If a difference can be left behind
For a better world to find.

Ink on paper or computer deals
Care not for how a human feels.
As it continues to accumulate
It infects hosts with greed and hate.

But love, true love for fellow man
Will accomplish more than mere money can.
Material things are built, and soon are gone.
But love is the difference that will live on.
