Would You Still Be With Me Poem by Terry Mwewa

Would You Still Be With Me

((Would You Still Be With Me))

if they should come a day
When I go astray,
When the passion for poetry goes away
Would you be here, would you stay?

A day when I fail to call you cute
A day when my voice is mute,
And I can no longer make you laugh not even for a minute
Would you still love me or would you find a substitute?

If they should come a day that I make you feel bored
Or a night when I embrace you and you still feel cold,
Would you push me away
Or would you love me anyway?

If they should come a day
When you no longer heal
From all the pain and cries I make you feel,
Would you give away our love for real
Or would you love me still?

If they should come a day
We no longer chat under the moon
A day we no longer chat from midnight till noon,
A day we no longer talk
Would our fingers still fit like a key and a lock,
Would you hold my hand and take me for a walk?

If they should come a day
When you tired of all the cries
A day you no longer wanna hear me apologize,
Would you look me in the eyes
And say it was never meant to be
Or would you still be with me?
