Yams for Thanksgiving? Tell me why.
Do not be sad and please don't cry.
Yams have lots of vitamin C for fighting colds & flu,
and loads of minerals, so I'd eat them if I were you.
The large content of vitamin B6 shrinks the effects
of homocysteine to stop heart attacks and stroke. Complex
carbohydrates and fiber, allowing for slow uptake, they are imbued.
It keeps blood sugar levels even; It's a low glycemic index food.
While yams look like sweet potatoes, they're not even related.
The vitamin A when eating yams isn't as concentrated.
The antioxidants in yams are quite exceptional.
Other vitamins and natural minerals are plentiful.
There's a problem with yams that I need to reveal:
There may be toxins, so you need to cook and peel.
Perhaps it's best to eat sweet potatoes with flavor more mellow.
They have more carotenoids - you can tell ‘cause they're more yellow.
I hope you can get sweet potatoes then. They have lots of good stuff in them.
Yes do not be sad and you do not cry. Be happy always and this is nice. This very helpful and informative poem on health. Interesting sharing and nice poem.10

I agree with your second internet site. According to the man who used to be in charge of the KSL Greenhouse weekly show, there are no yams grown in the U.S., just different species of sweet potatoes. I do love sweet potatoes. For Thanksgiving I rarely eat any white potatoes (and didn't this year) , just sweet potatoes. And I am actually snacking on some sweet potato crackers right now.
I have seen some vegetable chips, but they weren't very tasty. Not sure whether they had sweet potatoes in them.
