Ye Rashtey

Duriyon ko badhate,
kabhi duriyo ko mitate ye rashtey..
Kabhi aankho me aansu late to kabhi
apno se milne ki pyaas bujhatey ye rashtey..

Ye rashtey to wahi hai phir kyun
aaj inse gujarna gawara nai hai...
Ye rashtey to wahi hai phir kyun
ye nazare nazro ko pyara nai hai...

Ye rashtey to wahi hai phir kyun
aaj inse gujarne ki tamanna nai hai..
aaj jab hum apna rukh mod liye to
kyun ye rashtey dil ko pyara nai hai....

It little profits that an idle king,
By this still hearth, among these barren crags,
Match'd with an aged wife, I mete and dole
Unequal laws unto a savage race,
