Yellow Leaves Fall With Melancholia Of Autumn Rain Poem by NHIEN NGUYEN MD

I watch my swimming pool under Autumn rain
Rain drops dance with ripples which disappear quickly.
The rain has been falling continuously one half day.
I come to watch the pool water and my roaming cats watch me.
Quietly I sit and watch the falling rain for a while
Several small birds dart like arrows through falling rain.
Under rain drops, leaves try hard to hold on to their branches.
There were strong wind gusts last night
A lot of leaves already piled up in a corner of my yard.
The cats watch the rain as they wait for sunshine
But as I wait for sunshine I wish the rain soon to stop.
Any time when wind blows and shakes tree branches
Yellow leaves drop with melancholia of Autumn rain.

LÁ VÀNG RỤNG VỚI MƯA THU THẬT BUỒN

Trời mưa, tôi ngắm hồ bơi
Mưa rơi, vòng nước lan rồi tan ngay.
Hôm nay mưa đã nửa ngày
Tôi ngồi nhìn nước, mèo nằm nhìn tôi.
Tôi ngồi lặng ngắm mưa rơi
Vài con chim nhỏ trốn trời bay mau.
Mưa rơi, lá cố ôm cành
Đêm qua gió thổi, lá đầy góc sân.
Mèo nằm chờ nắng, nhìn mưa
Tôi ngồi chờ nắng, mong mưa sắp ngừng
Mỗi khi gió lắc, cành rung
Lá vàng rụng với mưa thu thật buồn
