Yesterday's Wishes Poem by Laura Wilson

Yesterday's Wishes

She crossed the line and held on tight
Yesterdays wishes have come alive
No more pain and torture to bare
Heart now heavy for it is lead
Along the path she walked that day
Mask in place a smiling face
Most don't know the hell she's been in
Only those that have read from her pen
Even there some were fooled
believing that she was good
Mask is falling revealing whats beneath
a deep black hole with horrors untold
Deep the sorrow that courses through
the dark red blood now flowing free
She crossed the line and held on tight
Yesterdays wishes have come alive
No more pain and torture to bare
Heart now empty and beats no more
