You Poem by Kerri White

You

You just might be a savior
even though you're just a stranger.
You just might hold the shield.
You just might have the power
to redesign this disaster.
You probably won't mind
it's in your human nature.

You can cause the pain
that I'm not evil enough to apply.
You can go insane
and just leave it all behind.

You can wilt a flower
before it's even grown.
You can rip apart
the welcome mat to a happy home.

You can do it all
because they don't see your weakness.
Her's is all over the place,
and they mistake that for a sickness.

I announce them as mistakes;
not to me, but to the world.
How can they build themselves higher
by completing the break of a broken girl?

You can help though
to make them understand
dedication is not a fault,
but a treasure from her hands.

Tell them that they'll miss her
when they realize they're not strong.
Attack them when they comprehend
that they've missed her all along.

Show them that her beauty is rare it lies in very few,
and they'll regret what they've done to her
when the dissapoint comes from someone new.

Let them know that you're not there for them
like they really thought you were.
Mock their hearts til they understand,
you're doing the same as they did to her.
