You Poem by Louie Thompson

You

Memories of you
won't leave me alone
our love wasn't meant to last
and this i should have known

The signs were as clear
as a cloudless, sunny sky
but all i do now
is keep asking myself why

You loved her more
than you could ever love me
but that was just a fact
that i chose not to see

But the truth
soon came out
and now i'm left
in this dry, loveless drought

You didn't know
what you meant to me
so now there is no more us
and no longer a 'we'
